Sigmund

His memory of his past his heavily clouded, everything before his soul binding to the Emperor a vague impression of light and motion. From what he can gather, Sigmund was born in the Void, probably aboard the Blazing Hammer. The pressure of his latent psychic powers skewed his mind as a child, and at some point he committed some terrible crime which warranted the removal of his entire left leg. He came into his power aboard the Hammer, in the presence of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor. Kept for the aid he could provide, Sigmund served the Inquisitor as well as he could until in an otherwise mundane space battle the Hammer rammed itself into a heretic vessel.

Only short flashes of memory remain between that collision and the shock of the soul binding ritual. As an Astropath, Sigmund has found an outlet for the psychic energy that burns within him. Unfortunately, a noticeable number of those he tends to work for suffer from an increase in bad luck. Weapons jam, trades fall short, and goods spoil. While not noticeably Sigmund’s fault, his status as a psyker attracts a significant amount of prejudice. Over half a dozen Rogue Traders have left him behind when they weighed anchor, hoping that their luck would take a turn for the better without him.
